On Thursday, March 1st 2018 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Joe’s Wines & Liquors hosts their 7th Annual “Passport to Oregon” Wine Tasting at The Memphis College of Art's Rust Hall (in Overton Park). This will be a rare opportunity to taste some of the best and most highly sought after wines from the Willamette Valley and greater Oregon. Each year has been a sellout and we expect this year to be one as well.
For the seventh year in a row we are giving Memphis an Oregon focused wine event like no other. This is the only chance to taste, under one roof, with the individuals who make some of Oregon’s most coveted and critically acclaimed wines. We'll have several new wineries just entering the Tennessee market attending. Representatives directly from each producer will be on hand to pour their wares, interact with attendees and answer questions. This will be a rare opportunity to intimately engage with them like never before. Many small production products that rarely make it to the area will be featured. Patricia Green Cellars is located in the Ribbon Ridge Appellation of the Willamette Valley on a 52 acre estate purchased in 2000 by Patty Green and Jim Anderson. With Patty and Jim’s stewardship the winery is noted for producing a tremendously broad selection of Pinot Noirs from several vineyards representing some of the better sites in the Willamette Valley with a particular emphasis over the years on Ribbon Ridge, Dundee Hills and the Chehalem Mountains appellations. Patricia Green cellars focus is to produce Pinot Noirs that show the distinct characteristics of the sites and vintage within the context of the wines.
